Condenso compresses videos on your iPhone or iPad so they take up less space.
Write in German or English. Tell us which iPhone you have, which iOS version it runs, and which video you were working on, and you get a real answer.
Where do my compressed videos go?
Into your photo library, next to the original, as soon as you say you want to keep them. They carry a small blue mark in the corner, so you can tell which is which. Until you decide, nothing is saved at all.
What happens to the original?
That is up to you. Keep both leaves the original where it is. Replace saves the compressed copy and moves the original to Recently Deleted, where iOS keeps it for 30 days. If you want the space back right away, empty Recently Deleted in Photos.
My video did not get smaller
Some videos are already compressed as far as makes sense, and Condenso tells you so instead of making a copy that is no better than what you already have. This is common with videos out of messaging apps, which have usually been compressed once before.
If you need a specific size, switch to Target size and name it. Condenso will not go over it, and if the size you asked for cannot be reached, it tells you beforehand instead of afterwards.
How do the three free compressions work?
The first three are free. One counts when you keep the result, so a run you throw away costs you nothing. After that there is a one-time purchase. No subscription, and Family Sharing is included.
I paid but the app still asks
Open Settings and tap Restore purchases. If it still asks after that, check that you are signed in with the same Apple Account you bought with, and write to us.
Does Condenso upload my videos?
No, never. There is no server they could be uploaded to. Everything happens on your device, including in the share extension. The privacy policy spells this out.
Compressing from another app
Share a video from Photos or from anywhere else to Condenso, and it is compressed right there, without opening the app.
