Condenso compresses videos on your device. Your videos are never uploaded, not to us and not to anyone else. There is no account, no advertising, and no tracking.
1.Your videos never leave your device
Everything happens on your iPhone or iPad: reading the video you picked, compressing it, and writing the smaller copy back. No video, no single frame, and no thumbnail is sent anywhere. Condenso has no server.
2.Your photo library
Condenso asks for access to your photo library for two things: to list your videos with their file sizes so you can choose one, and to save the compressed copy back when you want to keep it.
Nothing is saved until you decide. Until then the compressed file sits in the app's temporary storage, and it is deleted when you leave.
If you choose Replace, your original moves to Recently Deleted, where iOS keeps it for 30 days. Condenso never deletes anything permanently.
The date and the location of the original are copied onto the compressed file, so it sits in the right place in your library. You can turn both off in Settings. The copying happens on your device.
3.The one thing that does leave the device: your purchase
Your first three compressions are free. After that Condenso asks for a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Apple handles the payment.
To unlock the app and to restore your purchase on your other devices, Condenso uses RevenueCat.
- What RevenueCat receives: that a purchase of the one Condenso product happened, and enough about your device to restore it later.
- What it does not receive: your name, your email address, your account, and nothing at all about your videos. The identifier is anonymous.
If you never buy anything, none of this ever happens.
4.What stays on your device
- Your settings, in the app's own storage.
- The number of free compressions you have left, in the keychain, so that reinstalling the app does not hand out three new ones.
- The total amount of storage you have saved, which is there for you to look at and goes nowhere else.
5.No tracking, no advertising, no analytics
There is no advertising in Condenso and no analytics. You are never asked for permission to track you, because you are not tracked. There is no advertising identifier, nobody counts your taps, and there is no profile of you anywhere.
6.Children
Condenso collects nothing that could identify anyone, at any age.
7.Your rights
Because there is no account and no personal data, there is nothing on our side for you to request, correct, or delete. The purchase record at RevenueCat is tied to an anonymous identifier. The one at Apple is tied to your Apple Account. For anything Apple holds, use your Apple Account settings. For anything else, write to us.
8.Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change ever affects what leaves your device, we will say so here and in the app.
